The
Alcatel Corporation, a company that has been developing gadgets for digital communications, seriously fucked up on some of their modem products. The Speed Touchmodems Pro and Home versions have a huge security flaw that it allows a hacker access to the information on the computer using these damn modems! The flaw even allows a newbie hacker to actually gain functional control over these Alcatel modems users' internet surfing ventures. With this, Alcatel has just advised their clients to get both the firmware updates for each modem version and to configure their firewall settings to maximum protection. Update my ass, that's what I have to say! How about those people who have already been victimized by those hackers? I think they should all be compensated for their troubles, you know. Even if Alcatel has developed a firewall application of their own for this mess, which they did and are now freely distributing it to their customers, it would just be a lame excuse for their booboo, don't you think?
