I sometimes see the
modern digital age as something that comes close to that old age wherein sorcery and dragon-slaying were the trends that took utmost attention. I think digital platforms are no different from the cauldrons which were used to provide people with either convenience or damn headaches! Well, wizards were considered higher entities, and the spells and formulas they concocted back then were no different from today's programmers and their respective software development ventures. I think this is why most applications have certain wizarding features which provide an easier means to tweak or optimize the settings of each program.
But sometimes, a wizard turns old and gray that he seems to be losing his touch when it comes to his craft. Such is the case with
Modem Wizard, a said-to-be modem boosting application courtesy of KISSCO Software. This program is said to provide internet surfers an easier means to tweak the internet settings of their actual internet connection, their system's internet settings, and their modem. In trying out the program, I think it should have been released even before the invention of the internet! This is because this application comes nowhere close to what Merlin could've given our internet connections! I think this wizard has indeed lost its touch, for it comes severely short-handed on what it promises its users! Back in the old ages, I think this is what they considered as a phony wizard! Not that it doesn't actually weave magic on your actual internet connectivity, but I think the sort of magic it has on any internet connection would resemble a wizard's effort that even a stupid dragon could deflect!
