Fast internet connections are now available to the internet enthusiasts of the world. I think this is probably because broadband internet connections are getting more and more affordable these days. Plus, let us all thank open source development for free applications, not to mention operating systems, for all the computer users of the world. With the combination of such technologies which evolved from the rapid developments of digital information technology, we now have a more affordable and efficient means of communications. Well, not to mention fast, efficient, and free access to information! Thus, I would like to share my knowledge regarding the set-up procedures of DSL internet connectivity on SuSe.
Well, I would like to discuss how to set-up and configure DSL internet connectivity on SuSe, specifically through its
configuration tool. Selecting YaST would bring up the menu similar to that of the Microsoft Windows platform, which is the Network Devices menu. Selecting this menu item would bring up DSL configuration module. Now the DSL modem should be first attached securely to its port on the motherboard of your PC. This is a very basic requirement since updating your system devices, of course, scans for any hardware changes. After doing this, it is easy to view DSL configuration icon. Selecting this option would land you to the modem's configuration settings. Check the documentation that came with the DSL modem for proper configuration. In case proper configuration settings work well with Linux-operated machines, it would be best if you contact the DSL modem's manufacturer for further technical assistance.
